Please read these terms and conditions carefully.
When you make a booking, you accept on behalf of your party the terms of these booking conditions. It is your responsibility to ensure that all of the details on your confirmation documents are correct. Guests accept and are held fully responsible for their visitors or children which may result in injury or harm when staying or visiting the property and its surrounds.
Your credit card details will be held on the system as a security bond. Your credit card will be automatically debited in the event of damage to the property, equipment, breakages or if extra cleaning is required. Please note we will only process monies on your credit card or if there is reported damage to the Property, or if the ‘Terms and Conditions’ are not adhered to.
If you do not hold a credit card and cannot provide one, we will require a $500 cash bond to be paid. This payment will be refunded within 5 business days of departure, once we receive your departure inspection report and no charges are required. (Please inform us via email if you wish to pay the required bond via this method).
Millfield Homestead is finished to a high standard, and furnished with costly materials. You become responsible for any and all damage and loss to the property and its contents from the date and time you check-in to the date and time you check-out. Any damaged items in the property will be charged the full advertised replacement cost and product brand. The home is a residential premise and is strictly for residential use.
The number of occupants allowed is as per approved on your booking, and as advertised. The use of the property for functions, parties or other such gatherings is STRICTLY PROHIBITED unless written consent has been given by management. This includes children’s parties.
Use of the property for such events or other than as a residential premise will result in the termination of the reservation for the property, removal of the guest (s) and other occupants from the property and other costs or expenses (including an unauthorised function/extra cleaning fee of $1000)
Functions & large group gatherings
We do not accept unauthorized functions, parties, and large group gatherings outside of planned events. If you are considering a celebration, please contact us directly for options.
Location hire
Location hire for photoshoots and video shoots must be pre-approved in writing by management.
Number of guests
The maximum number of guests at any one time is 14. At no time during your occupancy is the number of guests staying to exceed the number booked, unless prior approval is given by management in writing. The use of extra beds other than the number booked will attract an additional tariff.
Fireplace
The fireplace is in use from 1st May until 31st August and is to be operated by adults over the age of 18 only and operated at your own risk. This extends to the pizza oven. You will be held liable for any damage you cause including smoke or ember damage from incorrect use.
When using the wood fire, please ensure the fire is put out entirely whenever you leave the premises, even for short periods. Supervision of children around all fireplaces is required and is the responsibility of parents/ guardians. Fireplaces and their external casings get very hot and may cause serious burns if touched.
Pool
When using the pool, it is advised that you not be under the influence of drugs and alcohol. A CPR chart is provided in case of an emergency. There is strictly NO GLASS to be in the pool area. Plastic cups have been provided for this. Cans are fine.
Noise
Disturbance to neighbours including excessive noise, music and unruly behaviour is prohibited and may result in eviction without refund. If a noise complaint is received; a first warning will be given. If a second complaint is received this will result in immediate eviction with no refund.
Pet policy
No pets are permitted on the property at any time unless approved by management. Additional cleaning charges will apply if this condition is breached and deducted from your credit card to the amount of $500 per pet.
Strictly no smoking inside
Smoking indoors is strictly prohibited. If there is any evidence of smoking inside you will be charged an additional $500 for a specialised clean to eliminate odours and remove chemical residue before future guests may use the space.
Cleaning
Millfield Homestead must be left in the condition it was in upon guests’ arrival. Excess cleaning fees may apply if rubbish is not removed to outdoor bins, dishes are not washed, or the barbecue or pizza oven are not cleaned. Any rubbish not able to be placed in outdoor bins must be taken with you. Please report any existing damage to the property upon your arrival. We know accidents happen, so please report any damage which occurs during your stay.
Indemnity
Guests and their visitors’ actions, conduct and safety are the responsibility of the Guests. Millfield Homestead does not condone unsafe, irresponsible, or illegal actions/behaviour etc. on or off the premises, during a stay or at any other time.
A condition of entering and/or staying at this property means that all Guests understand and agree to indemnify the owners against any responsibility or action(s) (legal or other), due to any action(s), incident(s), loss or injury(s) while within or outside of the premises (including, but not limited to, the grounds, facilities, structures, etc.) during a stay or at any other time.
Your booking request will be confirmed once your payment has been receipted and a receipt emailed to you following your booking confirmation.
